Carpal Tunnel syndrome is a problem that affects the wrist and hand. You may experience numbness and tingling that can make simple tasks difficult. Your provider may order testing such as an EMG to confirm this. Your surgeon may recommend surgery if positive. Surgery may be done to help relieve the symptoms. They do this by making one incision in the palm of your hand. This allows them access to release the carpal ligament. After surgery your hand will be bandage and a splint will be applied.
