Everything that concerns anabolic steroids, like they themselves, is a very relevant topic, always dividing people into at least two opposite categories: the principal opponents of the use of steroids and their supporters. Neutral or equal, she leaves few people. Even more active support for this topic is favored by the media, often rather biased and biased describing the alleged “terrible” consequences of taking steroids, regardless of the context of a particular case.

Bodybuilding professionals and athletes from other sports will, to a greater or lesser extent, always use steroids and other doping. Bodybuilding at the “pro” level, today, unfortunately, is impossible without the use of steroids in principle. In this article, we will look at the question of what should be training with the use of anabolic steroids.

Briefly about steroids

Anabolic steroids are pharmacological hormonal drugs based on the “pure” testosterone molecule or its modified variation with an altered molecular structure.

Initially, most of them were used in medical practice for the treatment of various diseases, in particular of genetic origin. Even children are prescribed steroids if necessary. And they are not the least important for the maintenance therapy of HIV and AIDS patients. In simple words, official medicine cannot do without these drugs even today.

Do athletes really need steroids?

Athletes use steroids to:

  • acceleration of recovery processes after training and increased psycho-emotional stress
    faster build-up of “dry” muscles
  • for accelerated fat burning with minimal “loss” of dry muscle tissue
  • increase in strength data, endurance, general tone, mood, self-confidence
  • in order to maximize your genetic potential

Training loads are always a stress factor for the athlete’s body, so he needs time to recuperate after training. The body’s response to damage to muscle cells is their more pronounced growth, which is called the term “supercompensation”. This is exactly what we usually describe as muscle growth. When using steroid drugs, these processes are carried out much faster. Especially in the context of responding to the stress of resistance training, training with steroids is certainly better for the body than without.

However, misuse of AAC, overdosing, or taking too long will entail more harm than good. Such an uncompromising option can be justified exclusively for professionals, since for them it is a kind of professional risk.

Remember also that any steroid has its own side reactions. The main consequence is often inhibition of testosterone secretion. In the event that competent post-cycle therapy is not carried out , the risk increases not only not to “keep” progress, but also to face problems in the field of sexual relations. But if an athlete categorically follows all the necessary recommendations and prescriptions, then most likely, training with steroids will not turn into problems.

How do you exercise during steroid cycles?

Typically, bodybuilders practice high volume, or so-called “training to failure”. Your training plan should be organized and thought out in such a way that you get the most out of it. With steroid support, you can safely afford to train longer, more intensely and often (of cycle, within reason) than natural bodybuilders, because your body’s recovery and compensation capabilities are much stronger thanks to steroid support.

You can train according to the plan for 5-6 training days per week. Bring each set to failure. Do not forget that even during the cycle you are not insured against injuries, and therefore you should not forget about common sense and elementary prudence. For example, if your working weights in the bench press reached 100 kg, then during the cycle period, even if very powerful steroids, you are unlikely to immediately be able to squeeze 1.5 or 2 times more.
